1. The Service

RoomTone is a mobile application that analyzes the acoustic characteristics of physical rooms using your device's microphone. The app produces a room score (0–100) and recommendations for improving sound quality.

Scores and recommendations are estimates intended for general guidance. They are not professional acoustic engineering assessments. Results may vary depending on your device model, room conditions, and ambient noise.

2. Who Can Use RoomTone

You must be at least 13 years old to use RoomTone. By using the app, you represent that you are 13 or older.

3. Microphone Access

The app requires microphone access to perform acoustic scans. Audio is processed entirely on your device — it is not recorded, stored, or transmitted. You can revoke microphone access at any time in your device settings. Without it, the app cannot perform scans.

4. Product Recommendations and Affiliate Links

RoomTone may recommend acoustic treatment products based on your scan results. Some recommendations include affiliate links — we may earn a small commission if you purchase through them. This does not affect the price you pay. Recommendations are based on your room's acoustic profile, not commission rates.

All purchases are transactions between you and the retailer. We are not a party to those transactions and make no guarantees about product availability, quality, or shipping.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree to use RoomTone only for its intended purpose. You agree not to:

• Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the app
• Use the app to collect data on others without their knowledge
• Interfere with or disrupt the app's operation
• Use the app for any unlawful purpose

6. Intellectual Property

The RoomTone app — including its scoring algorithm, visual design, and content — is owned by Foresthawk LLC. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from any part of the app without our written permission.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

RoomTone is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted or error-free, that scores will be accurate, or that recommendations will improve your room's acoustics. Your use of the app is at your own risk.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Foresthawk LLC will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of RoomTone — including purchases made based on app recommendations. Our total liability for any claim will not exceed the amount you paid for the app, which is zero.

9. Changes

We may update these Terms as the app evolves. We will update the date at the top of this page. Continued use after changes constitutes your acceptance. We may also update, modify, or discontinue RoomTone at any time without notice.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware. Any disputes will be resolved in courts located in Delaware.
